The Middle
I'm just dropping a note to let you know that I'm still here. I'm going on week two of not sleeping at night because of fibro related problems. The bones in my hip feel like they are fused together and it's very hard to get comfortable. So I'm not sure if it's the lack of sleep that's causing the rest of the body pain or the fact that everything is just tensed up because of the hip problems. Whatever the cause, the result is that all of my joints feel like they are constantly burning and tingling. They feel swollen but they aren't. How loverly.
Many times when I *make* myself get up and start moving around, I do ok. The first few hours in the morning (after not sleeping all night) and the evening hours (after being up all day without sleeping the night before) are usually the achiest and most tiring parts of the day. I'm going to try to make the most of the "middle" today I suppose.
**And later...***
It's 7:30 pm now and I'm sitting down to relax a bit. I really did get some things done today...yay me! I started by cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, living room, and our bedroom and bath. It's hard for me to work on other projects knowing that the house needs attention. After that, I finished pulling the carpet up in the hallway. (Did I mention that we're putting wood floors in the living room and hallway, too? I started ripping the carpet out on Friday...) So I pulled the carpet up, pulled the padding up, used my new favorite tool, the pry bar, to pull up all the carpet tacks, and THEN had to pull up all the staples that held the padding in place. My back has nothing nice to say to me right now, lol. AFter that, I pulled more old linoleum and luan out off the bathroom floor. THAT is a much harder job and I'm having to do it in steps.
I was going going to make some dinner after that, but noticed that Tori and Andrew were outside talking to Jeff (who was cleaning out the garage). I went outside to visit with them for a while...they had a chance to meet our now very active little month old puppies!
When they left, Jeff headed to Wal-Mart to pick something up and I asked him to just bring something home for dinner. I think he's going to SubWay. I asked him if he'd like to pick up a movie, too, but he said he's going to be working in the garage. I don't think I'm good for anything else tonight, so no more work for me.
