"Sweet Little Things" from the Twice Remembered Cottage
Do these candies look yummy or what? Mmmmm... In actuality, I'm not suppose to have sugar - any sugar, but I've had a major sweet tooth all my life:) Sometimes I do better than others at sticking to my no-sugar diet. This month has been a good month (I've lost about 7 or 8 pounds!). But that hasn't stopped me from admiring all the sugared pieces of goodness that are so commonly available everywhere I turn. In fact, it hasn't stopped me from making my own sweet treats right in my own kitchen.
I made a small assortment of candies this week: white chocolate melts with both rasberry and milk chocolate "drizzles", dark chocolate melts with milk chocolate and white chocolate drizzles, milk chocolate and creamy nougat bites, and chocolate chews - plain and powder sugar coated.
How do they taste? Well, I wouldn't know. And neither will anyone else:) You see, these candies are completely and 100% fake, made from non-edible household materials. They're not made of wax and they'll last forever! They were made by me strictly for viewing enjoyment, hehe. I can't tell you how fun it is to make these - and for me, this is just the beginning!
Soon all of my kidlets will be in school which means I'll have more time to work on crafts to sell. I don't want to work outside the home, so this is a good solution to help add a little to the family budget (and to feed my craft addiction!) Like many of you, I have my hands in everything - my interests are many! But I do know for sure that I will be making a lot more of these candies, plus cakes, cupcakes, brownies, sundaes, and much more. I consider myself "in training" now and I'm really excited about learning more about this beautiful "faux food" art form.

If you are interested in having some of these "Sweet Little Things" from my Twice Remembered Cottage, for now I'm selling them for $10 a dozen, plus $4 shipping. They'll come with a doily and each will be in an individual paper candy liner (they look like mini cupcake liners!). I can send you all of one kind of candy, or a variation as seen in the photos. I'll be working on new creations as well (this is so addictive!). Just email me at onewomanscottagelife@hotmail.com and let me know what you'd like and I'll whip something sweet up just for you:)
