Let the rain fall down...
It would be an understatement to say that Jeff has been working his tail off to get our kitchen wall finished. We're not worried about the inside - haven't even touched it, but the outside needed to be done before all the rain rolls in today. It took a couple of days to figure out what saw blade or even what type of saw to use (this is all kind of new to us) and after a couple of days of using the wrong saw or having blades burn up, he went out last night and bought the saw we needed all along. I had to help him feed the very heavy siding through the blade (that was a little scary for me) as he held the other end. So we were both holding an end of the siding, the saw was in the middle making the cut, and when we cut what needed to be cut, Jeff yells over the very LOUD saw that I needed to turn the saw off. Lol, I had no idea how or where to turn it off and it took me a minute to figure it out. I'm sure we are quite the spectacle to our neighbors.
It's still not all finished (Jeff was pretty disappointed) but he did what he could. We have siding now on half the wall - the other half he just had to cover with plastic last night...hopefully that will provide enough protection for now. He was working out there until about 9 or so, then came in and showered while I grilled him a couple of hamburgers. I sat down to my tuna wrap and we watched a Law & Order eppie that we had recorded. Jeff made it about halfway through before he fell asleep:)
So that was last evening. During the day yesterday I did get the house cleaned up and brought our huge mounds of laundry to the living room. I had planned on mopping and folding clothes while the girls were napping, but I was just tuckered out...ended up taking a nice nap. So that means today, I have to fold laundry - ick!
Nothing else too exciting is going on. The girls are going away on a trip with the grandparents this weekend, so it will just be us here at home. Zoe said this morning, "You will be all alone and won't have to take care of any kids!" hehe
